I've been asked to mentor an 11 year old next Thursday for "Take Your Youth To Work" day. I'm somewhat perplexed by this. Did we borrow an extra youth somewhere? Did they hatch one? I am being bribed with pizza, and I'm happy to do it (poor bored bastard!) but ... ?

I don't technically do science, but I still qualify for a lot of those based on my high school and college days.

Ooo! I want the MacGyver badge, but I don't think I quite deserve it. I've certainly done some impressive things with paperclips before, but never something dramatic, like escaping from a prison cell. Oh, but some day. Some day...
