Sorry, I'm just in that frame of mind right now. I watched the final episode of Firefly last night, and in it, River makes the distinction between understanding and comprehension. "She understands. She doesn't comprehend."
River is my favorite character. You'll understand why when you see it. After you've finished the episodes, go watch the deleted scenes. There's one episode that was taken out of "Our Mrs. Reynolds" that is absolutely hilarious..
Things to know about me (serious type stuff): 1) If I say I'm not going to be drinking, no amount of coercion will get me to drink. 2) I have no intention of cutting my hair since I like that it's down to my butt. 3) When I lose my temper, it's totally and completely lost. Give me time to calm down on my own...
Things to know about me (personal importance): 1) If asked to choose between friends or family (especially my immediate family), family wins, no thought required. 2) I like many different types of music, and if you're in my car and I'm the driver, I have veto listening rights. 3) While I have my opinions, I try to keep an open mind and realize that others will have opinions that I really, truly don't agree with. Please do the same for me :)
Things to know about me (fun type stuff): 1) I like anime, no matter how weird. No hentai though, please. 2) My mind goes off on weird tangents that usually have nothing to do with the topic under conversation. So don't worry if you can't follow my logic, no one can. 3) I will occasionally take things the wrong way, just to see how you'll react.
People should know that you are a fun and loving individual, who encourages friendly discussions in a wide variety of subjects, and that they should treat you with respect because you are a really cool person.

But come now, you're on all my filters and have been around for a while. What's something people should know about me that isn't an astonishingly, blushingly wonderful compliment?
1. I consider myself a renaissance man. I am an expert in very few things, but can talk about and debate a range of topics. Try me.
2. I memorize things easily and have an almost photographic memory when it comes to things like song lyrics; however, I can never remember what I did with my keys or wallet and I forget appointments all the time.
3. I'm way more fragile than I ever let on.
What should everyone know about you? That you are friendly and caring and someone around whom I feel relaxed and able to discuss almost anything.
1) I like Asian food. Lots and lots and lots of Asian food. Asian drink, too. But more Asian food than drink. (I'm eating udon and drinking tea at the moment, hence the first thought of this. Oh, and edamame beans as a snack in a little while, and mango mochi for dessert. Mmm!)
2) I am incredibly patient with anything /but/ stupidity. Show me stupidity, I go from zero to bitch.
3) Standing between me and my caffeine is a dangerous proposition, and should not be attempted unless you know full well that I'm avoiding it for some reason. This reason, generally, is the two hours before bedtime that I try to avoid caffeine in as I need to take my melatonin to regulate my sleeping schedule. Other than that, being between me and caffeine is likely to cause me to bite your head off, chew thoughtfully, and spit it back onto your body.
Thing 'bout you:
You have teeth.
No, really, you have teeth. This sounds like a silly thing to know, but bear with me as I explain.
It's like boys having BALLS, you see. Not like boys just having balls; every guy's got those. But boys who have BALLS are gutsy creatures.
1. Don't expect that I am who I was yesterday, because I tend to change my mind like the oil on a car - except that it's every thirty seconds instead of three-thousand miles. 2. I keep talking because I'm desperate for someone to listen. I'll fish until I hook you, because I'm scared I'm uninteresting. 3. I never really stop moving, and that's okay. It just means I'm content. Really.
You: 1. You are very interested in the world around you, as well as your own inner workings. People need to concentrate on that same thing to keep up with you. 2. You attempt to be even-handed, but sometimes you just want to be a girl and gossip. :) 3. You aren't afraid to admit your downfalls, and you don't let them get to you, at least outwardly. You know what you are and what you'd like to be.
