Donuts De Los Muertos

I have been adding "De Los Muertos" to stuff at random today just because.
I finally emerged from the little room at
fritters and
thudpucker's place at around 11 after a languid stroll towards awake and a phone call to Chuck. The person I was supposed to meet today, Sarah, bowed out of our donut tasting* due to belly issues. I hope to meet her before I go though since everyone says she's pretty awesome. We met up with
postrophe and his lady to journey out to two different donut shops for our extremely professional analysis. We discovered that Misty's cat, Max, knocked down most of the donuts from the best shop. He still couldn't have any.
After a sugartastic start, we headed to Canoga Park for their Dia De Los Muertos street fair. How nice of them to wait until I arrived to have it! There was an art gallery, sidewalk chalk, a whole bunch of alters/memorials set up and tons of Marigolds. I will have pictures to share later. I really enjoyed it. There was but one sugar skull though and it was not for sale. I needed a new bag to get stuff home with and I found a really awesome one with skulls all over it at the fair. I am glad I found something I will use when I get back instead of just something to get stuff home in.
After that we have begun preparations for the Scorpio Ball tonight. I am looking forward to it.
It has also been fun helping
fritters pick out something to wear for the black and red theme...De Los Muertos. :)
Onward and upward.
