The coke up the nose thing, that sounds like a cool party trick.
I always keep my fortunres in my wallet. That way if I want a fortune for the day, but don't have a fortune cookie I can just reach in and grab a random one.
My Mom convinced my step-dad (who's east-german, born and raised) that in order for the fortune to come true you had to actually eat the fortune, paper and all. He believed it and ate his and so my Mom had to follow-suit. Now it's become a semi-family tradition; one of those 'inside-joke' things. :)
