Seattle Visit of the Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama will be visiting Seattle from Friday, April 11, through Tuesday, April 15, as part of a multi day/multi venue public event called “Seeds of Compassion.” Motorists should expect potential traffic congestion at least one hour before and after the events associated with this visit. Traffic from the events could potentially cause back-ups approaching downtown Seattle on I-5 or Highway 99.

The Seattle Department of Transportation and Seattle Police Department have no specific closures or alterations to traffic flow planned at this time. However, intermittent closures may be implemented if needed. City agencies have worked closely with the visit organizers to assess traffic impacts and design short term traffic and pedestrian control measures, and will closely monitor traffic around these events. On-street parking may be restricted around the sites.

Below is a list of sites associated with “Seeds of Compassion” that may impact traffic. Other events occurring before or after them are highlighted in italics:

I just did a fairly large, sweeping cut to my friend's lists. Some people haven't posted or commented in a while...or it's just the changes between us that time brings. Sometimes, things move.

Anyway, I could have also totally fucked up and not meant to remove you. Feel free to comment if you'd like back in. At the very least, if you take the time to speak, I'll take the time to answer.

Back to the shallows!

PS: It's really sad when I make a Lord of the Rings reference at work and no one around me gets it. :(

Awareness Test.

Thank you, the Internet.

PS: The PSA about my friend's list cut can be found here.

Now I will stop posting like a crack weasel until the end of the weekend so interested parties can find it. o.o
