Spoiler Warnings

Is there a period of time after which a spoiler warning is not needed? For example, is a spoiler warning needed when discussing Romeo and Juliet? How about Evangeleon, which came out about a decade or so ago (and the reason for my question... been pondering the part of the series I have seen so far, but will not discuss it with anyone until I am done with it)?

btw i still have yet to see evangelion. I REALLY want to, but I have only ever seen bits of epis and a few random ones. heh, I dont even know exactly what its about. :)

I put a library hold order on Perfect Blue. If timing works out, we could watch it on your portable DVD player while eating sushi!

The library has Paranoi Agent, too. (I liked it. It's darkly, playfully disturbing.) They have tons of anime, and unlike Netflix, they're Free.
