News and Thoughts on News

I saw online today that Andreas Katsulas died Monday. He is best known among geeks at his engrossing portrayal of G'Kar, the Ambassador you loved to hate, then hated to love, and then just loved. He will be missed.

I get a lot of my news online. If not for the fact newspapers (on PAPER) are in the breakroom at work, I'd probably never get the news from wood pulp.

When was the last time you read a paper paper?

I do that while waiting for my coffee at Starbucks. My favorite part is looking at 3 different headlines for the same events. Just the titles spin the event in different ways.

I do that too... you can do the same thing online... watching how Yahoo headlines evolve throughout the day. Seems like they always start with very brazen and alarmist headlined with "Alleged" and then calm down and report news later on in the day.

On a related note: I have fallen in love with Cinnomin Dulce Lattes. YUM!!!!!!!!

Oh!

Are you a regular reader or did I catch you on a fluke?

I buy a paper every now and then. They seel USA Today at the campus cafeterias, and since I like to read the news at lunchtime, if I'm not eating at my desk I'll buy a paper to read.

ages ago.. When I moved to Seattle, I subscribed to the Times. I didn't dislike it, but I found that the only use I was getting out of it was using the plastic bag for dog poo bags. After 2 weeks of unread papers were taken to the recycling bin, I called and cancelled.

And to think... in most places you wouldn't even get the plastic bag.

About 10 months and I do not think it would count. I only "read" the comics and they sucked that day.

"When was the last time you read a paper paper?"

Uh...this morning?

I have subscriptions to two...

I find it's too easy to sucked into the computer screen, so I limit my time in front of one so that it can't catch me.

:( I remember him in Star Trek and Alien Nation *is sad* Peter Benchley died this week, too. :(

I read the paper almost every day.

I read the job classifieds almost every week. I then let the rest of the paper sit for a few days then throw it out. Unless postrope comes over, he wants the comics. I wish they made a paper that had no negitive articals. I would read that one. I hate to read bad news.
