I'm feeling wonky tonight, so talking about how glad I am that Chuck puts up with my..erm...quirks, seems appropriate.
I love Chuck because we don't want to change each other. Not that it would work. People sometimes have ambitions --little tweaks or "almost rights" or whatever.
Chuck is not some fantastical creation of my imagination. He is not one who always sees eye-to-eye with me, never grumps, is immune to the passage of time, never drools in my ear* and is perfectly rational in all things, or has farts that smell like freedom.**
Screw that, Disney is for kids. But... even as I say that, I realize we're pretty much custom made, for all of our flaws. I love how beautifully imperfect we are together, insomnia, wet willies, wacky miscommunications, wiggly bellies, bad knees, and all.
Love is an act of will, not something that is on a checklist. It is not an obligation (YAY!). I love that he chooses me.
